Cheers to the first day of summer!
I am keeping the post light today. I always have a curated list of “Things I Love” on the go, and I thought I might share some summery things off my list with you.
The purpose of the list is to capture the many things that make me happy. It’s a little bit like a gratitude list. It reminds me of all the things I have to be grateful for.
A shimmery summer day is definitely on the list!
To make it more fun, I’m adding a carefully selected photo to go with each thing I love that you can use on your phone as a wallpaper.
To use as a wallpaper follow these 3 easy steps:
- Save your favorite (press and hold on the image you love from your iPhone to save it to your phone).
- Then save the image as a new wallpaper as you normally would on your phone (Settings, Wallpaper, Add New, Photos).
- Set the image to be your current wallpaper and enjoy!
Wild Camping
Wild camping under the stars is a must. This year, we even started a little early and had our first wild camping trip before summer even officially arrived.

Iced Coffee
Don’t dump the leftovers from your morning brew. Stash it in the fridge for latter. Add ice and sweet cream and you have the best summer treat!

Rose Hedge in Bloom
Summer is when the rose hedge across the front of my property blooms. The pink blossoms smell like heaven and attract so many bumble bees.

The Sea
You can’t come from the East Coast of Canada and ignore the ocean! Although the water only warms up a few degress in the summer, and I love the shore any time of year, the warmth of the summer sun makes it prime time to search for sea glass.

Lighthouses
New Brunswick has many light houses and summer is the perfect time to make the trek to one to their tall towers.

The Perfect Reflection
Pefectly still summer days result in mirrored images on the small lakes in our area. Taking the paddle board out on a day like this is nothing less than amazing!

Blue Sky & Clouds
On those hot summer days, don’t forget to look up.

Picnic
The only time of year you can eat al fresco. Sweetie and I love to take a hike and bring along a fancy picnic.

Ice Cream Cone
No list of summer favorites would be complete without ice cream on it!

Summer Sunsets
Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. A shimmering red sky at sunset means a gorgeous day is on the way come sunrise. Just want I want in the summer time!

Whether you enjoy the things I love in this post, or decide to make one of the images your iPhone wall paper I hope you take the time to think about the things you love.
I encourage you to start a list of things you love on your iPhone, on Pinterest, or in a bullet journal.
Spending time focusing on the things that bring us contentment is always time well spent.
Enjoy your lazy summer days!
