What’s your love story?
It’s February, the weather has been cold and blah, and we all need a little pick me up. I’ve added a freebie to the shop that I think will do the trick!
I used to live in an area that was perfect conditions for hot air ballons. A 3-day balloon festival was held every fall but at any random time, summer or winter, you could step outside and find a hot air balloon serenely floating by.
It always felt romatic and surreal to me. I kind of fell in love with hot air balloons.
This would be the perfect little love story to capture on these journaling pages. Or other love stories like:
- Valentine’s Day date night
- How you met your Sweete
- Making V-Day cards with the kiddos
- How your pet came to own you
Why Capturing Your Love Story Matters to Simple Living
Most of my readers are here because they want to simplify their lives. Most would say their lives are in choas and they want more calm, more peace, more organization, and more time to enjoy life’s little moments.
Taking a moment to journal a simple little love story (belive it or not) is a great first step towards moving into the simple life you want.
You have just captured one of life’s little moments that you have already lived. Writing it down helps you to relive the moment and reminds you of something in life you ar grateful for.
But it does more than that! There is science that shows that capturing these positive moments in life doesn’t just make you happier and more postivie. It also:
- Makes you more resiliant
- Gives your health a boost
- Helps you build better relationships
The Science of Gratitude – Mindful dives deeper if you want to geek out a little on this point.
Every positive benefit that comes from capturing one of your love stories better positions you to sucessfully simplify your life.
It shifts your mindset and your attitude about what you can accomplish.
Don’t Stop At Just One
Capture your love stories often. Build a library of memories that make you smile. Resolve to make more of those memories. Read them often or whenever you have a rough day.
It may be hard to do when you are barely coping with life, but the practice of writing positive stories in your journal is a powerful way to attract more positivity to your life.
These love stories remind us why we want a simpler life. They motivate us to make changes to so we can have more of those moments every day.
I’ve included 3 journaling pages in the mini kit. I encourage you to use them all! Find your free mini journal kit in the Shop or use the link below.

I’ve written about this on my blog as well since our stories can be preserved so naturally with our photos. I love that you mentioned resilience, gratitude, health, and relationships. It really does make a difference! Thank you for sharing this post with us at the Will Blog for Comments #57 linkup. We hope to see you at #58 sharing new or old posts again–it opens on Monday. 🙂
