Cedar Cafe

Coffee shop reviews by Nola Noreen!
Roses for Lunch
Sweetie is (finally) starting to work on his retirement plans. We took a drive to Cornhill Nursery in search of grape vines. However, upon arrival the first signage we see is for the “Cedar Cafe”. You know where we were headed!
Part coffee shop, part museum, it was all experiential.
On the way through a little garden path connecting the parking lot to the vine covered patio of the cafe we passed by a wood-fired oven. Pizza was clearly on the menu.
After discovering that they were willing to do half-and-half pizzas, I ordered half Mexican Street Corn pizza and half Chicken & Pear pizza. Fancy choices!
While waiting for our order it was suggested we check out the museum upstairs. It was filled with interesting artifacts of days gone by, which I will allow you to discover for yourself. The entire building is a tribute…to the tree and to the Maritime barn. Be sure to pick up the story sheet of the Cedar Cafe, which has all the details.
When the food came it was served with a side of roses. It was a beautiful presentation and I loved it!
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the coffee. They serve Piccadilly Coffee, from my old hometown of Sussex, NB.

The outside experience at the Cedar Cafe was as intriguing as the inside experience. I would love to return on a sunny day and sit on the outdoor patio!
Enjoy your coffee!
We came for the nursery and found a cafe. I love finding cafes attached to other businesses. What is your favorite cafe/business combo? Tell me in the comments below.
